In this class we are going to create a fabulous, decorative fabric bowl!
You will be amazed at how simple the process can be. A fair warning though, it can be highly addictive.
I will walk you through all the steps and share my knowledge of what has worked or not worked in my personal learning curve.
Forget your preconceived notions that you are not a “art” quilter. A willingness to try new things leads you to a new happy place.
Patti was a medical laboratory technologist by profession. The job required accuracy, precision, and a focus that could be both intense and stressful. Her life outside of the hospital required an escape into a completely different environment.
Patti’s love of the outdoors was evident in her chosen pursuits. She could be found hiking, kayaking, beach combing or just enjoying a leisurely walk through the forest.
It wasn’t until a friend suggested that she take a foundation paper quilting class, which is all about accuracy and precision, did she rekindle a love of sewing and discover a new passion for quilting. Her love is mainly expressed in art quilts as opposed to the more traditional and functional bed quilt. Patti also likes to do batik, and hand dyes which she incorporates into many of her designs. Throw in some beads, and that pretty much sums up her style.
