Volunteers

Thank you to all the volunteers who have committed to assist in the quilt show! Your contributions at this quilt show and sale are examples of outstanding member participation!

  • Please check the shifts in the Volunteer list at the bottom of this page to find where and when you are scheduled to work. If you are unable to work the time slots the schedule indicates you are working, please connect with Marilyn at mcbradley3@hotmail.com or phone 250 228-3050 as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the volunteer role please connect with the lead of that area.
  • All volunteers MUST check in at the volunteer room, which is located on the second floor of the arena. There is an elevator for those who need one.
  • The complete volunteer signup sheet will be posted in the volunteer sign-in room as well for easy reference during the show and sale.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your shifts - this gives us time to say hi and check you in. Name tags and voting ballots will be handed out upon check in.
  • The volunteer sign-in room will always have a person in the room or the room will be locked, so if volunteers wanted to leave personal items in this space you may, but of course we can not be responsible for lost items.
  • Members who volunteer at the quilt show and sale are not required to pay for their admittance on the day they volunteer. However, just a reminder that door prize tickets are only provided to paid admissions.
  • Please wear your guild name tag while working your shift.
  • There is a volunteer rest area on the second floor as well. It will be open when the show and sale is open. It is an exclusive area for volunteers and merchants to take a break. So, bring your lunch and/or partake in some goodies provided by other members as well as have a coffee, tea and, of course great conversations with other volunteers. If you happen to have your own mug, that is great, and if not, we will have environment friendly disposable cups free of charge.
  • We will not have water bottles available, but please bring your own bottle and you can fill it from the venue’s water fountains.
  • Just a reminder there is no food or beverages permitted in the pond or arena area (this is the main area where the quilts and merchants are located).
  • Please park at the back of the arena and car pool if possible. This will leave the front parking lot available for the attendees of the show and sale. You can access the back lot by coming off Wembley Road, and then turning left.

If you find that you have some available time and could signed up for a shift, please check in at the volunteer sign-in room, for sure there will always be a need for help somewhere.

Thanks again for volunteering.
