Scholarships
The Parksville Quilt House Quilters’ Guild seeks to encourage those interested in quilting and related textile arts.
Each school year the Guild offers scholarships of $1500.00 to qualified secondary school graduates. Applicants must be from School Districts 68, 69, 70, or 71 OR a member, or a spouse, child, or grandchild of a member in good standing with the Guild.
The applicant must be pursuing a degree or diploma in textile arts or sewing related pursuits at an approved post-secondary institution in Canada, or a related degree or diploma in fine arts and graphic design. He/she will have completed a course of study in textiles or fashion design at secondary school OR can demonstrate a strong personal interest in quilting, quilting history, sewing, or textile arts, including fashion or costume design.
