Victoria Quilt Show Bus Trip
There has been some interest in a bus trip to Victoria on Friday, August 5th, 2022 to attend their City of Gardens Quilt Show.
We would leave the Parksville area at 9 am on the Friday, arrive about 11 am and have 5 hours at the show and Tillicum Mall, leaving at 4 pm for the drive home.
I don’t imagine we will fill the bus so I have added a bit to the price to account for fewer passengers. The cost will be $45 each which includes the bus, the driver gratuity and a savings on the admission price if we have 45 people. Non-guild people will be included if space allows after guild members have registered. The deadline for registering is June 20th, 2022.
If you are interested, please register using the Victoria Bus Trip Registration Form. If there is enough interest, you will be advised on how to make your payment later.
Guild members can register themselves and waitlist a non-Guild member by selecting ‘Yes’ in the Bring A Friend section. DO NOT pay anything yet for you or a friend until you are advised the trip is proceeding. Alternatively non-Guild members can be waitlisted by sending an email to DiAnne at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The UFO Challenge
We all have them…we all want to Get them Done !!
So Do the Challenge and let’s Get them Done!
A New UFO Challenge will begin at the September meeting.
Look for us at the meeting. You can sign up on the sheets provided: name, UFO description and the date, or bring your own list and hand it in. Lists may also be emailed to UFO@quilthouse.ca . When your UFO is completed, bring it to a meeting for Show and Tell, and we will sign off the completion date. With in-person meetings we will not be posting on the website.
Sign up will be for the first 3 months: September, October and November. Last entry date by email is November 30,2021. You have until the June meeting to complete your UFOs.
What is a UFO?
A UFO for this contest is a project that was started before September 1,2021. To be considered started, you must have made at least one cut into the fabric. This includes kits; they must be started not just bought. Or it could be something where you just have to add the binding and you have been procrastinating. We all know how that is!
“Completed” means that it is totally finished, the binding is done and it is ready to be used or gifted.
