Handling Guild E-Mail
There are two ways to access your e-mail, a cloud based solution where you access your e-mail in a web browser and an application based solution where you install software on your computer (e-mail client) and manage it yourself.
As of March 2021 we are aware that many e-mail systems (G-Mail, Yahoo Mail, Shaw and Telus) are refusing to handle incoming messages that have been forwarded automatically. To insure mail delivery, a full e-mail account will have to be used rather than an alias or e-mail forwarder.
I use Mozilla's Thunderbird e-mail client to manage multiple accounts (including G-Mail) very simply. It is a free download for Windows and Mac and is often supported by your ISP.
I will support the use of the Guild's webmail facility and because I am familiar with it, Thunderbird. If you choose to use other methods of dealing with your Guild e-mail it will be up to you to troubleshoot and solve problems with your ISP or mail account provider.
